AAW- a Detour to the Present Day

The threat of surface ships coming under attack by ballistic missiles which have maneuvering capability did not exist in my day.

But apparently, it does now. Which explains why the Navy's concerns about ballistic missile defense extend well beyond what North Korea might do.
