I've probably said before that the guys who flew SH-2s from the Knox class and Garcia class FFs were about the craziest fuckers around. Flying from a CV in heavy seas is almost as insane.

Actually, I thought the Brits in their Wasp helos were really nuts. Like little hummingbirds flitting about your bridge wings, but that was before I had the AH-58 Det, and I'm told the prior cruise to eh MEF it had been three AH-6s from the 160th SOAR and the warrants had all been flying together since Vietnam. Prior XO indicated it wasn't unusual to find a pistol or MP5 under that pillow of the pilots once in a while while doing Messing and Berthing.
