Uniform Disasters- Zoomie Edition

Take a look at this page, which shows, among other things, the Air Force casual informal uniform.

If I saw a Zoomie in that getup, I'd be tempted to ask where I could rent a DVD.

Here I thought the Navy's Battle Dress Oceanic had set a new standard for idiotic uniforms, but one can never count out Uncle Sam's Christian Flying Club the Air Force when it comes to institutionalized insanity.

Thanks, Steve, but I'll pass. I'm a Reformed Druid (we worship shrubbery).

Yiminee Krissmus! I've always wondered why they don't just bother hiring civilians to fly USAF. They try pretty hard to pretend they're not military anyway and that "uniform" is final proof. I can't imagine the same of poor PJs (genuine badasses, I think we can all agree) wearing that crud.

Oddly enough, that uniform looks very much like the Civil Air Patrol golf shirt uniform...

At least it ain't that Black and Tan the Navy has brought onboard to replace the Trop Whites and Winter Blue(Johnny Cash). But I would have to venture the same reaction. For crying out loud, who the hell thought that on up?

No kidding. The black & tan uniform looks like a Jarhead knock-off. The 8-point cover worn with Battle Dress Oceanic is a Jarhead knockoff.

They end up looking like a bunch of clowns who wanted to be Marines but couldn't hack it.

Fucking pathetic.

Maybe the Navy is just going to heck entirely. Did you see THIS nonsense?

I know RTC was never much for small arms instruction, but did the surface fleet just fall apart on training altogether? Has DoN given up on blue water everything? Maybe if AirSea Battle takes off they can spin the subs off everything else just joins USAF! That'll stop Somali pirates for sure.

*pant, pant*

I feel better now. Thanks.
